Internship Program
The National Transportation Security Center of Excellence (NTSCOE) is in the process of developing the internship program. To help with the development of the program, they employed five interns during the summer of 2010. With their assistance, a plan was developed in an effort to execute the Internship Program for the upcoming year. Students can apply during the fall semester.
• First, an application packet will be provided for any individuals interested.
• Next, each student must explain why they are interested in the internship with NTSCOE.
• Finally, a panel will assist the Executive Director in selecting the most qualified individuals.
The Executive Director will call a meeting to be posted on the TC-NTSCOE website inviting the entire campus to learn about the TC-NTSCOE. In the meeting, former interns will take turns explaining a part of the program. The requirements for the internship program will be one of the many topics to discuss on the agenda.
Some of the requirements needed to apply for the Internship Program, include, but are not limited to, the following:
GPA Requirement: The GPA should be a 3.0 or better. Academics are very important. The student must be an upcoming junior, a student at Tougaloo College, and must be able to serve in the capacity of an intern for the minimum of six weeks during any academic semester.
